Senior Tax Executive - West Sussex 

Superb opportunity for a senior Tax executive to join highly regarded Solicitors practice in west Sussex.

You will be working on a broad range of Tax matters including the preparation of tax returns and associated compliance.

Main detailed responsibilities

1. Trust and Estate tax returns and personal tax returns, including related tax calculations using the firm’s software (IRIS). All related correspondence with clients, HM Revenue & Customs and third parties as required. Monitoring and working to related deadlines.
2. Preparing Trust accounts.
3. Monitoring deadlines on Trusts and Estates such as ten yearly charges and beneficial entitlements.
4. Dealing with the day-to-day administration on clients.
5. Inheritance Tax returns for Trusts and Estates.
6. Ad hoc advisory work, such as advising on Trust distributions.
7. Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior members of staff.
8. To carry out other tasks as and when required by the LLP.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

• STEP, ATT, CTA (part qualified) preferred
• Minimum of 2yrs experience working in a private client or trust department
• IT literate, with experience of using case management and tax software (ideally IRIS)

Part-time candidates will also be considered, in return you can expect a strong salary commensurate with experience.
