Sellick Partnership are delighted to be recruiting to this fantastic opportunity for an experienced Prosecutions Legal Officer to join a well-regarded London Borough Council.

This role is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Prosecutions Legal Officer to join a friendly legal team and take on a varied caseload of prosecution matters, assisting the lawyers with the following:

• Fly tipping
• Education - Non-school attendance
• Littering
• Seizure of vehicles
• Planning prosecutions
• Food safety
• Trading standards
• Environmental health

The role requires the successful candidate to support the lawyers on the team, draft summonses, commencing and progressing cases to court and dealing with any costs and compensations. The post holder will need to be familiar with the Civil Justice procedures and attend the offices in South London twice per week.

This role is best suited to either a qualified junior lawyer (CILEX, Solicitor or Barrister) or a legal officer who has experience dealing with prosecutions matters, ideally in a local authority environment.
