Professional Support Lawyer - Litigation

BCL Legal is working with a Top 50 UK law firm to recruit a Professional Support Lawyer for their Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial litigation solicitor seeking to transition into a support role while remaining engaged with complex legal matters.

About the Role:

The firm is looking for a PSL to join their established Knowledge Management department. In this role, you will focus on keeping the team informed of relevant legal and procedural updates, curating and creating know-how resources, and addressing queries from fee earners. You will also work collaboratively to develop best practices, deliver training sessions, and assist with business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and circulate regular internal updates on legal developments and procedural changes.
Curate existing knowledge resources and create new materials to support the team's needs.
Identify and promote areas of best practice within the department.
Deliver or coordinate technical training for team members and clients.
Contribute to business development activities, including enhancing the firm's profile and staying abreast of innovations in the field.

The Candidate:

A qualified solicitor with significant experience in commercial litigation in England and Wales, ideally within private practice or an in-house setting.
A solid academic background; prior experience in a Professional Support Lawyer role is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in IT tools, including Microsoft Office applications and experience with presentation software.
A positive, enthusiastic approach to teamwork, along with adaptability and self-motivation.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a proactive attitude towards supporting fee earners.
