Legal Manager - Essex

Our client, a leading UK housebuilder, is seeking an experienced Legal Manager to join their team in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional to play a crucial role in supporting the company's mission of creating high-quality homes and communities.

Position Overview
The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing a range of legal matters, including plot sales, development agreements, and conveyancing. This role is critical in ensuring smooth transactions and maintaining the company's commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents and portfolios for plot sales
• Manage development matters, including road and sewer agreements
• Supervise a team of conveyancers and provide guidance
• Advise on plot sales, part exchange, and reversion transactions
• Assist in regulatory matters and attend meetings with sales staff
• Develop and maintain the Group's case management system
• Conduct yearly appraisals and audit files
• Train conveyancers on title checks and plot conveyancing
• Handle disciplinary matters for staff and provide training

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications (Solicitor, CILEx, CLC)
• Experience in new build and management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
