Associate - Real Estate - Education

Real Estate Solicitor | National law firm | East Midlands

BCL Legal is collaborating with a national law firm to recruit an Associate Solicitor for their Real Estate team, focusing on the Education sector for their office in Nottingham.

This role involves providing specialized real estate advice to educational institutions, managing complex property transactions, and assisting senior team members with large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide tailored real estate advice to educational clients, including schools, colleges, and universities, on matters such as property acquisitions, disposals, leases, and estate management.
- Oversee and manage property transactions from inception to completion, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Draft, review, and negotiate property-related documents, including leases, licenses, development agreements, and sale contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and providing proactive and commercially sound advice.
- Assist senior team members in large-scale projects, including redevelopment schemes, property portfolio management, and compliance with education-specific property regulations.
- Work closely with other departments within the firm, such as planning, construction, and corporate, to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in real estate law and the education sector, ensuring clients receive current and relevant advice.

Requirements:

- Qualified solicitor with 3-5 years PQE in real estate.
- Proven experience working on real estate matters within the education sector is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage a busy caseload with competing priorities.
