• Are you studying for the AAT qualification or have an accountancy degree?
• Do you have 1-2 years’ experience in accountancy and tax working in an accounting practice or a finance function within the private industry sector?

What the role will involve:

• Accounts Preparation for small business clients including reconciliations, analysis of numbers, posting depreciation, tax provisions, accruals and prepayments.
• Analysis of income statement and balance sheet to ensure all transactions are identified and treated in line with accounting standards.
• Provide training and support to clients using online accounting software, ensuring that bank feeds are live and accounting entries are up to date.
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and managing registration and deregistration processes.
• Monthly CIS reporting for a small number of clients within the construction industry.
• Presentation of financial reports to management and clients, assisting with periodic reviews and simple tax planning.
• Completion of self-assessment tax returns for company directors, the self-employed and property landlords.
